Built from 41 call recordings spanning February to August 2026: team meetings, client calls, sales calls, peer catch-ups, vendor and advisor calls. This article describes how Eddie actually speaks. The voice guide stays the rulebook for anything published; this profile is the raw material for making published content sound like him. Transcripts contain speech-to-text errors (Claude appears as "clawed", VIBAe as "Viba/Viber/Veeba"), so odd spellings in the sources are artifacts, not usage. verified
The four registers#
Eddie's voice shifts by relationship, not by mood. Any script or content should pick one register deliberately.
1. Team coaching: question-led, reasons attached. With the team he leads by asking, not telling: "What's your perspective on the situation?", "What does the data tell us?", "How will we measure the incremental effect?" (2026-07-27 team PM). The latest call adds his usual decision question: "What's the next thing that is going to cause us to make a decision?" (2026-08-13 team PM). Directives carry the why, and correction starts with credit: "You're right to question that... I would say our approach is also diversification" (2026-02-13 client-ashfaaq, same pattern with clients). He checks comprehension constantly: "Does that make sense?", "You see what I'm saying?", "Are you tracking, Bosh?" And he owns misses in front of people: "In hindsight, that's too late... we didn't really deliver on the urgency" and "that's on me, I've got to be better" (2026-07-23 team PM, 2026-06-16 team-nico).
2. Client authority: calm, structured, evidence-first. With clients and prospects he slows down, builds from first principles, and teaches the economics openly, often with invented worked examples: "let's say we spend 100,000, we get 300,000, that's the three ROAS..." (2026-02-13). He sets expectations against himself: "I can never promise an outcome. It's a process" (2026-04-21 Finnish energy-device discovery call). He frames risk before upside, uses guardrails and North Star language, and shows receipts live on screen rather than claiming (dashboard walkthroughs in the 2026-03-24 Ruzel sales call). This register is the closest match to the locked published voice: calm, confident, direct.
3. Peer energy: profane, generous, hype-loops. With fellow operators (Antonio, Manny, Abhinav, Luke) the volume goes up and the profanity is enthusiasm, not aggression: "Brother, it's fucking insane", "Fuck yeah, let's go", "balls to the wall". Address terms scale with closeness: dude, man, bro, brother. He gives playbooks away unprompted: "If you need a routine, I'll send you the one I'm doing" (2026-07-22 peer-antonio), "Any questions with AI stuff? Let me know" (2026-06-13 advisor-accountant). He is candid about his own struggles in this register: "Penang's going a bit stagnant... It's me. I've not been focused on sales" (2026-03-31 peer-manny).
4. Negotiation: warm, numbers on the table, win-win named out loud. With Brandon (2026-07-08 partner-brandon) he shares internal spend and ROAS figures to explain his position, asks directly ("Would you be open to the exposure anyway and seeing what happens?"), concedes gracefully, and closes with generosity: "we're more than happy to load you up and give you as much ammunition as you want."
Phrase bank#
Connectors and tics: "right?" as a constant check-in tag; "kind of like"; "you know"; sentences launched with "So,"; "Okay, cool" and "Sweet" as transitions; "to be honest" and "I'll be very candid with you" before straight talk; "I appreciate that" both as thanks and as the on-ramp to disagreement.
Working vocabulary: reverse engineer, North Star, guardrails, traction, leverage, iterate, low-hanging fruit, win-win, grain of salt, hit rate, creative fatigue, pump out, pop off, crack it, rinse and repeat, winging it (always negative), moving parts, black book (of translators), war chest, filler ad.
Celebration and verdicts: "Fuck yeah, let's go", "That's awesome", "Hell yeah", "What a great fucking video, dude", "It is what it is", "Maybe, who knows? I don't know" (honest closer after speculation), a flat decisive "No." when he is sure.
Self-deprecation and dry humor: "I'm British. I'm extra polite" (after a prospect called his 'tough' verdict an understatement, 2026-04-21); "so I'm not just talking out my ass" (2026-03-31 team-desiree); "you know that when AI takes over the world, they're going to kill you last" (2026-05-13 workshop).
Metaphor bank#
He explains through physical systems, and these recur across months: the pilot light and gas chamber (ad spend is gas; without an existing flame of traction it never ignites, 2026-04-21); tennis rallies for working with AI ("you have to go back and say, hey, now you tell me what's best", 2026-06-13); trees, seeds, and branches for idea exploration (2026-03-31 team-desiree); suitcase Tetris for packing (2026-05-06 client-vibae); the escalator for a creative pipeline that never sits empty; "feeding the animal" picked up from a prospect and mirrored back (2026-03-24). Sparks and fuel: the human makes the spark, AI "lights the gas to blow shit up" (2026-06-16 team-nico).
How he sells#
Honesty as the filter: "if I see their stuff and I feel like I can't help them... I'll just refund them and let them know why" (2026-07-22 peer-antonio, describing the working session). Qualification is arithmetic done out loud: break-even CPA against AOV and margin before any promise (the Kong toilet-paper and Finnish energy-device calls). Bad fits get told plainly: "Well, it's a bit more than tough... It makes no sense" is the prospect's own summary he accepts rather than softens away (2026-04-21). Proof is shown, not asserted: live dashboards, real campaign screens, named results, which is the receipts standard in the flesh.
What he never sounds like#
No guru cadence, no manufactured urgency, no outcome promises, no corporate padding. He mocks the registers he avoids: LinkedIn is "a weird platform" where people "talk very strangely to this network... show off" (2026-07-27 team-creative-workflow). He polices AI tells in the wild, twice flagging stray dashes in other people's copy ("I would remove your M dash", 2026-03-31 peer-abhinav; "just a bunch of dashes already off the rip", 2026-07-03 client-luke), which corroborates the locked no-em-dash rule as genuinely his.
Translating spoken Eddie into written Eddie#
Keep: plain words, worked examples with concrete numbers, physical metaphors, the habit of giving the reason with the instruction, owning mistakes plainly, one-line honest hedges ("I could be wrong, but that's my read"), generous low-pressure CTAs ("give me a shout").
Convert: the "right?" rhythm becomes short declarative sentences; spoken repetition becomes single clean claims; peer-register profanity drops out of published content entirely (locked rule) but its energy survives as bluntness.
Drop: filler ("kind of like", "you know"), mid-sentence rebuilds, hype interjections, and anything that reads as transcription noise.
